All of our grantees offer voluntary counselling and testing services as part of their activities. In Cameroon, to know your status, two HIV testing kits cost £3.00.
In a bid to raise awareness of HIV among young people, many of our grantees use information, education and communications materials. A cost effective and impactful way of doing this is using posters. In Peru, it costs £7.00 to print 20 prevention posters.
Our grantees are creative in their HIV prevention messaging. Our grantees in Uganda produce their own educational newsletters that are distributed quarterly at a cost of £10.00.
In Pakistan, it costs £15.00 to produce and broadcast a ten-minute monthly radio program that encourages young people to anonymously call in with questions regarding safe sex and HIV prevention.
Our grantees in Cambodia ensure safe and open environment’s where young people can learn and share their experiences. Our grantees are setting up youth centres in schools at a cost of £18.00 where they raise awareness of HIV.
It’s important condoms are easily available and accessible and that’s why our grantees aim to give away as many condoms as they can afford. In the Philippines, it costs our grantees £23.00 for a pack of 100 condoms.
