Georgia Arnold

Executive Director and Founder

Georgia is the Foundation's Executive Director, and is responsible for leading the entire team and driving all elements of the Foundation's operations, including content production, grant giving, fundraising and partnerships. She is also Senior Vice President of Social Responsibility for MTV Networks International, where she develops and implements social initiatives across MTV's broad range of channels.

Sara Piot

Deputy Executive Director

Sara’s been working with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation since 2003. She’s responsible for our grant-giving programme, overseeing everything from selecting grantees to managing and fulfilling our grants. She also works closely on all the legal, financial and governance aspects of the Foundation.

Sara Bowcutt

Director of Fundraising

Sara oversees MTV Staying Alive Foundation’s fundraising strategy, which includes working with companies and individuals a range of events, public fundraising initiatives and brand partnerships. Since 2003 she has specialised in fundraising, working for both small and large UK and international charities including War Child, Age UK and the MicroLoan Foundation.

Mario Christodoulou

Partnerships and Communications Manager

Mario is responsible for securing grants from trusts and foundations and communicating the impact MTV Staying Alive's work to a wider audience. Before joining the team, Mario was an Editor at The Lancet medical journal and founded and hosted The Lancet News podcast.

Wouter Van Dongen

Grants Coodinator

Wouter joined the team in 2013 and is responsible for managing the projects the foundation supports. He is involved in the selection of new grants, provides on-going support to projects and helps to communicate their impact to the broader audience.

Julie Allen

Creative Director

Julie joined us in 2006 from the BBC, where she looked after a variety of interactive dramas and entertainment projects. At the Staying Alive Foundation she leads all things creative – from show concepts, to creative fundraising initiatives and creative media partnerships.

Beth Garrod


Beth joined the team in 2013, bringing a background of over ten years producing youth TV, online and radio content for global brands. As a teen author with a passion for pro-social, she helps strategically steer and oversee international campaigns and content.

Jack Okell

Marketing and Programming Coordinator

Jack joined us in 2012, and he’s now responsible for marketing and distribution, making sure that the great content our team makes gets seen by people all around the world. This work includes programming, blogs and promotional spots.
